Question - Free computer iconsTRANSFER REQUEST INFORMATION

A transfer request is required for:

  • students that reside outside of Desert Sands USD boundaries (e.g. if your address falls into the area serviced by Palm Springs USD or Coachella Valley USD). These interdistrict transfer requests must be renewed on an annual basis.
  • students that do not reside within the schools boundaries and pertain to another school within Desert Sands USD. This would be considered as an intradistrict transfer.

A transfer request is NOT required annually if the student is already on a transfer, lives within Desert Sands USD boundaries, and is staying at the same school next year (as long as the address has not changed since first approved).

To fill out a transfer request please visit: www.dsusd.us

UniformUniform Policy

Roosevelt Elementary School is a mandatory uniform school. We want to remind parents that we are enforcing the policy 100% of the time. Students will be expected to wear a school uniform each day of the school year, with the exception of school spirit days. In the event that they are not wearing a school uniform, parents will be contacted to bring a change of clothes. If you would like a more detailed explanation of what is appropriate school attire, please pick up a dress code policy notice in the front office.

The uniform consists of:

  • Navy blue or white shirts with a collar.
  • Navy blue or khaki pants, shorts, skirts, or dresses.
  • No jeans (except on Jean Fridays with a donation of $1)
  • Closed toed shoes at all times. No flip flops or Crocs.
